A Soul-Windsurfer in a Motorboat World
My journey didn’t start in a boardroom; it started as a 13-year-old "soul windsurfer" chasing the wind. I was obsessed with the waves of Hawaii and the high-tech mystery behind board construction. As a young Argentine, owning that elite equipment was an impossible dream—the technology felt worlds away, and the costs were out of reach.
At 16, my life changed. I met what it will become my wife, and through her, I discovered a 65-year legacy of Argentine boat building: Astillero Bahamas. While I remained independent, focusing on high-performance sailing rather than motorboats, I grew up at the epicenter of the industry, surrounded by the smell of resin and the rhythmic sound of hulls hitting the water. I was vibrating on a different frequency: driven to master the physics of sailing, the tactical race course, and the Master-Level Execution of light-weight Advanced Composites.
